A good proofreader goes through an author's manuscript one last time to fix any errors or mistakes that may have been missed earlier in the editing process. This usually happens right before the book is set to be published, but can also be appealing for authors on a fixed budget.
If you pick me to be your proofreader, I'll go through your manuscript and make sure there are no spelling, grammatical, or typographical errors.
Work must be done in English and submitted only using Microsoft Word or Google Docs. You can submit as many manuscripts as you’d like at any time, but a service fee must be paid for each submission. The manuscript can be any subject or style, but it must be fiction and the cost will vary by length. Payment must be made before the service is completed.
For manuscripts less than 50,000 words, the cost is $100.00. You will receive your edited manuscript within fifteen days of payment being made.
For manuscripts between 50,001 and 75,000 words, the cost is $150.00. You will receive your edited manuscript within twenty days of payment being made.
For manuscripts over 75,000 words, the cost is $200.00. You will receive your edited manuscript within thirty days of payment being made.
There are no returns, refunds, or exchanges once the service is completed and once payment is made, it is final. Email me at firstname.lastname@example.org, with the subject line: Proofreader, and I will contact you within forty-eight hours. Please do not send your manuscript until I reach out to you.
